SWBC Mortgage |
Selecting a mortgage loan officer to manage the lending process in your behalf is a significant decision; but how do you know where to place your trust? My personal belief is that you need know about your loan officer and the company where they originate. You will need to evaluate the loan officer and their company In three critical areas: character, capability, and capacity.
Character- always chose a loan officer with a strong ethical center and the personality to make your needs their top priority. Capability-can be measured by a solid education and lending experience that shows the intellectual expertise to handle complex financial issues as well as the more straightforward. Capacity- goes beyond the loan officer to the company. A borrower is best served by a company with a broad and a diversified product line, a local appraisal pool to tap the best in quality appraisals, in-house underwriting to expedite turn times and problem solving, and the ability to be a direct seller to Fannie or Freddie thereby removing the extra layer of restrictions frequently added by the “big banks and wholesalers”. SWBC is such a lender.
I want to be the loan officer that you feel can best assist you with all your mortgage needs.
So how do I and SWBC stack up against “The Three C’s”?
Character- is a hard thing to ask you to judge when you do not know the person. However in 2002, I published an autobiographical book called Wisdom Daddy Taught Me: A Path from Poverty to Prosperity. A full third of my book discusses how good character is shaped. The first chapter in my book is entitled “Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You”. I can truly say: “my character is an open book.” My past clients will attest to my character!
Capability- My capability can be partially established from things found in most resumes. My college degree was from SMU majoring in Economics with a minor in Finance. I graduated with the second highest GPA from the Business School. I have been a top producing Realtor in Tampa, Florida: and award winning Financial Consultant for Merrill Lynch in Cleveland, Ohio; and a Mortgage Originator in the Dallas Metroplex for sixteen years with a sabbatical in the middle to write my book. SWBC has a long history as a capable and dedicated lender. Their history can easily be found on www.swbc.com
